Event Terms and Conditions

Ticket purchases

1. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity (RMCC) does not accept provisional bookings. All tickets must be purchased online using the nominated online ticketing portal.

2. It is your responsibility to ensure accurate information is provided at the time of booking.

Our cancellation and refund policy

3. Cancellations must be received in writing by email to the Events Manager [email protected]. Depending on when the cancellation notification is received, charges will apply for the cost of the event, and refunded as follows:

  • Between 8 and 4 weeks before the date of the event – 50% of the total
  • Between 4 and 2 weeks before the date of the event – 25% of the total cost
  • Less than 2 weeks before the date of the event – no refund will be issued

4. In the event of a cancellation of an event by RMCC, we will use reasonable endeavours to contact you using the contact details provided at the time of booking.  If it is possible to rearrange the event,  your tickets will be valid for the new event or you will be offered a full refund.

5. It may be necessary, for reasons beyond our control, to alter the venue or the date of the event. We will give you as much notice as we can, and your booking will be transferred to the new venue or date. If you are unable to attend, a refund will be offered.

6. In the event that the new date does not fall in this financial year, a full refund will be offered.

7. Refunds will be returned to you via the Stripe payment system.

Attendance at the event

While attending the event, you will comply with:

8. All applicable law, including, but not limited to, all health and safety legislation and requirements and;

9. All instructions given by us or on our behalf, including, but not limited to, in relation to any security arrangements.

10. If you have any COVID-19 symptoms, including fever, cough, or gastro-intestinal issues, have been diagnosed with COVID-19, or had direct contact with an individual diagnosed with or suspected to have COVID-19 in the past 14 days prior to the event, you must  not attend the event.  In these circumstances, a full refund will be issued.

Our liability

11. Event attendees shall be required to keep their personal belongings with them at all times and we accept no liability for damage to, or loss of, personal belongings. We do not accept any responsibility for any loss (including, without limitation, theft) of any property at external venues save for any damage caused by our gross negligence in which circumstances our liability shall be limited to the amount of our insurance for such losses.

12. We will not be responsible to you or your guests for any loss or damage which does not result directly from our actions.

13. Nothing in these event booking Terms and Conditions excludes our liability to you for personal injury or death caused by our gross negligence.

14. The views expressed by any speakers at an event are their own. We shall not be liable for the views, acts or omissions of any such speaker or any other attendee at the event.

Filming and photography

15. By attending this event, I give permission for RMCC to use photographs or video footage of me, taken during the event, to be used to raise awareness or money for The Royal Marsden’s work, or to publicise this event including but not limited to, advertising, publications, marketing materials and any other documents that may be made available to the public.

Our right to vary these Terms and Conditions

18. We have the right to revise and amend these Terms and Conditions from time to time to reflect changes in technology, payment methods, relevant laws and regulatory requirements and changes in the system's capabilities.

19. You will be subject to the policies and Terms and Conditions in force at the time that you purchase a ticket or tickets, unless any change to those policies or these Terms and Conditions is required to be made by law or governmental authority or if we notify you of the change to those policies or these Terms and Conditions before we send you the purchase confirmation (in which case we have the right to assume that you have accepted the change to the Terms and Conditions, unless you notify us to the contrary within seven working days of receipt by you of the purchase confirmation).

Governing law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by English Law and you hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
