In support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
The Ever After Garden is a tranquil haven where everyone everywhere can remember treasured friends and family they have lost.
Each year, the Ever After Garden is a tranquil haven which offers a space to pause and reflect over the festive period. Visitors are invited to dedicate a rose in memory of a loved one, whilst making a donation to The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, helping to fund groundbreaking research which improves the lives of cancer patients everywhere.
Over £1.2 million has now been raised by rose dedications since the garden first began in 2019, supporting the development of life-saving treatments which are used across the UK and around the world.
Ever After Garden
- The Ever After Garden is now closed for 2024 and will re-open in November 2025.
- Free entry.
- £10 suggested minimum donation to dedicate a rose which will be added to the garden when it re-opens.
Dedicate a rose
The Ever After Garden is now closed for 2024, thank you to all those who donated online and in the garden.
You can now pre-order your dedication online and it will be added to the Ever After Garden when it re-opens this winter.
Dedications are available for a suggested minimum donation of £10 per rose.
Please note, the illuminated roses remain onsite as part of the installation for all visitors to enjoy and are not distributed individually.
Collecting your dedication marker
If you have already dedicated a rose online, you can collect your dedication marker to handwrite yourself when you visit the Ever After Garden when it re-opens this winter.
To collect your dedication marker, please visit the garden and have your email confirmation ready to show a member of the team.
Unable to visit the garden?
You can choose to have of our volunteers handwrite your dedication and place it in the garden on your behalf when it re-opens this winter.
As the garden contains thousands of dedications, we will be unable to locate your individual dedication if you choose to have one of our volunteers write and place your dedication marker on your behalf.
If you would like to know exactly where your dedication has been planted within the garden, we recommend writing your dedication message yourself when you visit.

A garden of remembrance
After the loss of their friend, the late production designer Michael Howells, Royal Marsden Cancer Charity Trustee and designer Dame Anya Hindmarch, and fashion writer Camilla Morton, wanted to find an inspiring way to remember those we have lost. Together, they created the Ever After Garden which first lit up Grosvenor Square in 2019.
"The Ever After Garden was born out of the need to pay tribute to those we have lost during the year. It was an idea originally conceived with Camilla Morton in memory of Michael Howells and is named after the film for which he designed the sets. However this garden should be personal to everyone. For me, it is also in memory of my Aunt Elizabeth Hindmarch."
"My wish is for this to be a place to reflect at Christmas in amongst all the festive cheer, and in doing so raise money for the incredible institution that is The Royal Marsden."

Creating the Ever After Garden
The garden has become a reality with the generous support and management of our Founding Partner Grosvenor. We are also grateful for the generosity of our Headline Partner, Brookfield, our Launch Event Partner, The Chancery Rosewood and all of our Garden Supporters.
With special thanks to the Korean creative group PANCOMMUNICATION and their 'Light Rose Garden'. The Ever After Garden has been inspired by the Light Rose Garden, an exhibition first launched in 2014 by the Korean creative group PANCOMMUNICATION at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul, Korea.
The Light Rose Garden soon became the iconic attraction of the city and within the period of a month drew more than 6 million visitors. The Light Rose Garden started its world tour in Hong Kong in February 2016 to brighten the world with the warm and positive glow of light roses. This installation has been developed in conjunction and with the kind support of PANCOMMUNICATION group.
