Supporter funds FAQs
What is a supporter fund?
Supporter Funds are set by families and friends to celebrate someone special. They help you bring people together to help raise money and awareness for The Royal Marsden.
How can I get involved?
Setting up your own supporter fund is easy. Simply complete our online form and a member of our fundraising team will be in touch to discuss your plans.
What fundraising can I do?
We have lots of great fundraising ideas. Whether you would like to take part in one of our challenge events, fundraise in your workplace or plan something with a group or school, we have lots of resources to help you and your fundraisers.
How will I know how much I have raised?
We will check in with you regularly to keep you up to date on your total. We will also support you with setting up a central Justgiving page for your fund, so that all the money raised will be in one easy to access place.
What will the money raised be used for?
The money you raise will help to revolutionise cancer treatment and improve the lives of patients at The Royal Marsden and around the world. If you would like the money you raise to be restricted to a specific area of work at The Royal Marsden, please speak to your designated team member and we can arrange this for you.
Can I take a break from fundraising?
Yes, of course. We know that you might not always have the time to dedicate to fundraising. Our existing supporter funds often find that friends and family help keep the fund growing even if you do decide to take a break.
What support can you give me?
You will be given a dedicated member of our fundraising team to support you. They will always be at the end of the phone, or contactable by email for any questions you might have. We have lots of resources available to help with fundraising too, and can develop some personal to your fund, such as sponsorship forms and letterheads. You can also have a dedicated page on our website for your fund to keep your supporters up to date.
