Tribute to Bill Turnbull
We are extremely saddened to hear the news that Bill Turnbull, a passionate supporter of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity has died.
Managing Director of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, Antonia Dalmahoy, said:
"We are extremely saddened to hear the news that Bill Turnbull has died.
While under the care of The Royal Marsden Bill became a huge supporter of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity, from attending The Banham Marsden March to sharing his story at events and promoting our fundraising campaigns, we are lucky to have counted Bill as a friend.
Bill showed incredible determination and resilience following his prostate cancer diagnosis, helping to raise awareness of the importance of early diagnosis and shining a light on the reality of living with cancer. Sharing his experience publicly was a source of inspiration to so many others going through cancer treatment and his actions have undoubtedly saved lives by encouraging men to talk to their GP if they’re experiencing any symptoms.
We are incredibly grateful for his support of The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity over the years. Our thoughts are with his wife Sesi, their family, friends and all those who knew and loved him"
