Ralph Lauren's 2021 Pink Pony campaign
This October, Ralph Lauren's global fundraising and cancer awareness initiative, Pink Pony, returns for its 21st year. The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity is delighted to be involved in this campaign again, as part of our longstanding partnership with Ralph Lauren Corporation.
The power of community
This year's campaign centres around the importance of communities of love and support in a cancer patient's journey - from hospital staff to family, friends and fellow patients.
Since 2000, Ralph Lauren has run the Pink Pony initiative, which supports an international network of cancer charities including The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity. The power of community has consistently shown itself throughout the 21 years of fundraising that staff and customers of Ralph Lauren have done worldwide.
In store and online support
A brand-new collection of Pink Pony products is being sold online and in stories. This year, 100% of the purchase price from the sale of each Pink Pony Fleece Hoodie and 25% of the purchase price of all other items in the Pink Pony Collection in the UK benefits The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
Find out more about the Pink Pony Collection on the Ralph Lauren website.
Customers at outlet stores across Europe and full-price stores in the UK can make a donation at the till point throughout the year, as well as being able to donate when shopping online.
Deborah James, broadcaster, author and patient at The Royal Marsden has contributed to this year's global campaign. In addition to the campaign's fundraising, Ralph Lauren has kindly made a donation to support bowel cancer research at The Royal Marsden to recognise Deborah's support of this campaign.
Employees championing our partnership
Some of the amazing staff from Ralph Lauren have already been busy fundraising for the Charity, taking on some incredible challenges.
A group of Ralph Lauren staff recently took part in our Lake District Triple Challenge event, which saw them hiking, cycling and kayaking over a weekend in September. In mid-October, a team of Ralph Lauren employees will be running the Royal Parks Half Marathon, taking in beautiful London scenery while raising money to make a difference for cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.
During October, Ralph Lauren employees will have the chance to hear from Royal Marsden speakers about why their support is so vital and how their generosity is improving the lives of cancer patients everywhere.
Oak Cancer Centre progress
Ralph Lauren's fundraising through the campaign is contributing to their pledge to fund the Ralph Lauren Research Zone in the Oak Cancer Centre, due to open at The Royal Marsden in Sutton next year.
In September, The Royal Marsden celebrated a significant milestone in the construction of this revolutionary new centre as the full height of the building was reached.
When it opens, the Oak Cancer Centre will help The Royal Marsden discover new ways to diagnose and treat cancer for the benefit of patients around the world.
