Fancy getting involved but not sure where to start? We’ve got lots of inspirational fundraising ideas – from cake sales to comedy nights, we can help get you started.
There are tons of ways you can raise money to support us.
Take part in an organised event like a marathon or a trek, create your own event, even get competitive – did someone say games night? – or include us in your special occasion
It's a great way to give something back to a fantastic cause by doing something I enjoy. There are so many ways you can join in; running, cycling, parachute jumping…

- a cycle ride, in the UK, Europe or as part of an overseas adventure
- an obstacle course, if you want to test your mettle
- abseiling or a parachute jump for the thrill-seekers among you.
Do something abroad
We’ve got plenty of challenges taking place in exciting overseas locations such as:
- trekking along the Great Wall of China
- cycling from Vietnam to Cambodia
- climbing Mount Kilimanjaro
- walking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu
- trekking in the Sahara Desert

- There are a number of websites you can use, such as eBay, to sell your second-hand items
- On the website you will be able to select what percentage of sale goes directly to the Charity

Give something up
Show your dedication to the cause and get sponsored to give something up for a month.
- Get your whole family involved and each choose something to give up so you can motivate each other to take part
- Whether it’s computer games or chocolate, make sure it’s a real challenge and set up a Justgiving page so people can sponsor you for how many days you last
- You could even have 'fines' for anyone in the family who gives in to temptation!
Sponsored read
Get your children to take a break from their computer screens and get lost in a book with our sponsored read.
- Get sponsored to read every day for a month and raise money for The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity
- We have a downloadable bookmark for children to colour in and use throughout their reading
- They could even colour in a bookmark to give as a gift to friends and family
- Set up a Justgiving page or you can download our sponsorship form
